BACK STORY;
Some where in the kandahar region of afghanistan: a news crew doing a story about native wildlife effected by the war has come under attack by a force of unknown origin, size and strength. First reports indicated that it was a taliban force, subsequent intel has revealed that it may be a private mercenary army working for a european drug lord.
The News Crew from Faux News International was filming the habitat of the Afghan Cuddle fish when they were targeted . at least 4 were killed, and there was a report of at least 3 alive and in hiding in the mountains. The film crew was able to call the embassy and give their location.
A Us backed SOCOM force has been dropped and have made contact with the crew. They are attempting to move the survivors to the village of SASCO where they will be extracted by NATO forces.
The Mercenaries controlled by a european Drug Cartel are attempting to capture the crew and use them as a bargaining chips in order to have a high ranking drug lord released from a Russian Gulag.
FACTIONS;
MERCENARY/BLUE: THIS FORCE WILL START THE EVENT AT/ OR NEAR THE VILLAGE BOUNDRIES. MAX DEPLOYMENT WILL BE INDICATED ON MAP.
OBJECTIVE:ROUND ONE
CAPTURE THE NEWS CREW ALIVE AND MOVE TO BUNKER COMPLEX- CREW MUST REMAIN ALIVE, AND BE HELD INSIDE THE BUNKER FOR 10 MINUTES.
SOCOM/GREEN; THIS FORCE WILL START AT THE ALAMO. THEY WILL START WITH THE NEWS CREW IN THEIR CUSTODY. .
OBJECTIVE;ROUND ONE
MOVE THE NEWS CREW TO NATO EXTRACTION POINT AS INDICATED ON MAP. NEWS CREW MUST BE ALIVE., AND REMAIN AT/IN THE EXTRACTION ZONE FOR 10 MINUTES.
ROUND TWO: THE FACTION WHO HAS CONTROL OF THE NEWS CREW AT THE END OF ROUND ONE WILL MOVE THEIR FORCES INTO AND AROUND THE BUNKER COMPLEX. THE OPPOSING FACTION WILL HAVE ONE HOUR TO RESCUE THE CREW AND MOVE THEM TO A SAFE LZ.
This is a private 49Th Commandos event. all particapants will be by invitation, and are expected to RSVP no later the 1 week from event date. Walk on will be accepted on a case by case basis.
SATURDAY APRIL 24TH
Rally/breifing at parking area SASCO 0700
Factions will deploy to start points by 0745.
Game will commence promptly at 0810,m at sound of horn.
Game will continue until we have a confirmed winner or 1.5 hours. at nthsi time teams will switch objectives and play again for 1,5hours or until a confirmed win.
